SouthMACH Trade Show
Visitor Satisfaction Survey
HAYLEYMEDIA Ltd is a publishing and exhibitions management company who organise industry specific trade shows in conjunction with their written publications.

As an exhibition organiser, it is important to their ongoing business to understand who your visitors are, how they rate various aspects of their shows and whether they intend to visit the next show.
Previously attendee feedback had been gathered by an interviewer with a paper and pen survey. In recent years the survey sample size had become too small to be meaningful with less than 20 surveys gathered at the previous show.
In May 2007, HAYLEYMEDIA’s SouthMACH, the biannual Southern Machinery and Technology Trade Show, was held at Westpac Stadium in Christchurch. The trade show is the South Island’s largest manufacturing technology trade show and attracts manufacturers and business decision makers from around New Zealand.
People Queued to Complete Survey!
People patiently queued in line waiting for the opportunity to complete the interactive survey.
Rachel Hobbs-Price, Exhibition & Marketing Director for HAYLEYMEDIA Ltd said
“We were thrilled with the high response rate of the touchscreen surveys and have booked the kiosks for our other trade shows around the country.”
For this show, TouchScreen Marketing & Research customised SouthMACH’s existing paper survey to use in conjunction with two touchscreen kiosks located at the exit of the show.
The
interactive survey came alive with the SouthMACH colours, logos and photos.
Over a period of 2 days,
600 surveys were willingly completed by respondents averaging an 80 second take time.
A broad range of demographic profiles completed the survey and respondents received a small robotic light as an incentive.
TouchScreen Marketing & Research has subsequently completed touch surveys for HAYLEYMEDIA at the ASB Showgrounds in Auckland.
